We installed two solar photovoltaic systems. The first in 2010.  In 2014 we installed the second phase plus a passive solar hot water system.

 

The photovoltaic system saves enough carbon emissions to counteract the emissions from our farm and personal vehicles.  We were one of the first farms in Frederick country to have completed the Green Home Challenge.

Not having much of an electric bill is also cool.
